Use the app’s documented backup or account-sync method, where available. Confirm that you can access your account before replacing the installed package. Do not assume every app stores progress online.

Use the same trusted source

Follow the publisher’s update instructions. Read changes to requirements and permissions, then review the Android prompt. If a signature or compatibility error appears, stop and ask the publisher for help.
